What the Booking Feature Enables

For eligible business types, GBP can display a direct "Book" button, either linking to your own booking system or, through integration with supported scheduling platforms, allowing booking without leaving Google at all — this removes a significant amount of friction between discovery and a confirmed appointment.

Setting It Up

Connect a supported booking platform (many major scheduling tools integrate directly with Google) through your GBP dashboard, or link directly to your own booking page if a native integration isn't available for your specific tool.

Why Removing Friction Matters So Much

Every additional step between a searcher's intent and a completed booking is an opportunity to lose them to a competitor with an easier path — a direct "Book" button on the search result itself is about as low-friction as the booking journey can get.

Keeping Availability Accurate

A booking feature showing outdated or incorrect availability actively damages trust — worse than not offering online booking at all, since it creates a specific, disappointing failure at the exact moment a customer was ready to convert. Keep the connected calendar genuinely current.
